Ted talk research

My research is better than yours
When choosing my ted talk subject, I wanted to pick a subject that I would have to do minimal research on. So, I decided I would do tom Brady. I have been watching tom Brady, and doing research on him my whole entire life. I don't understand why people in our class are doing these weird topics when they could just pick something that they know very well.
So, the first way that I have researched tom Brady is by missing zero of his games since I have been around 7 years old. I think the best way to research an athlete is to watch him play in his sport. When watching tom Brady, you can tell about his life, and all the troubles he has gone through. He shows that chip on his shoulder, and the way that he is always striving for excellence. Also, tom Brady is the so called " star " athlete on the patriots so the people who are broadcasting the game are always talking about his backstory and where he came from. I have learned that he has the most post- season wins in history, he has the most wins in history, and that he is an enormous stud. So that is the first way that I have researched my hero, but to learn more about tom, I had to go deeper.
The next way I researched tom Brady was by looking up his younger life on the internet. I then clicked on his Wikipedia article and found myself with a boat load of information about tom Brady as a child! I found out that he was born in San Mateo California, he attended high school at juniper highschool and didn't start to play football until he was a freshman in high school. I also learned that he was a varsity athlete in not only football, but basketball and baseball as well! Not only was he a three sport athlete, but he was a hall of famer at his high school as well. Plus, he got drafted for baseball out of high school, but decided to go to the university of michigan and peruse his football career.
So now I had tom Brady's young life researched, so I had to figure out his draft process into the nfl. The way I researched this was by watching the Brady 6. This is a documentary about tom Brady and how he was drafted in the 6th round and 199th overall, and the fact that he had 6 quarter backs drafted in front of him in that draft. I learned about how he was very overlooked because of his poor physical features, his poor arm strength, and everything else they said at the nfl combine. This gave me a great look at how tom Brady was looked at by all the scouts coming out of college and it was awesome to learn about.
So that is basically how my research went. When I figure out how I'm actually going to do my ted talk and finish my slide show I will probably do some more research. I am just glad that I did my project on tom because I already know so much about him already. I will have a great ted talk and I'm excited for you to see it!!!
